"For there are three thousand neat-ankled daughters of Ocean who are dispersed far and wide, and in every place alike serve the earth and the deep waters, children who are glorious among goddesses.” Theogony. Hesiod.

“The sea is only the embodiment of a supernatural and wonderful existence. It is nothing but love and emotion; it is the Living Infinite”. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Jules Verne.

Influenced by the myth of the Oceanids, the Greek sea nymphs, the pieces exhibited at Contemporary By U art gallery (Taipei) are an ode to femininity, motherhood, love and nature.
Located at one of the most cultural and artsy areas in Taipei and specialised in contemporary, street, and pop art, Contemporary By U art gallery displays a variety of works from different nationalities: Asian artists like Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakami, and Western artists such as Adam Lister, KAWS, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, D* face and Cleon Peterson.
